From Ruin to Rescue - Part 6
Sunday, 03 August 2008
From Ruin to Rescue: Christianity's Answer to Everything | Renovation: God's Rebuilding Work of Grace: Part 6 Life in the Spirit: Sonship (Rom 8:12-17) |
Pastor Gary Pauley. Paul says that believers are led by the Spirit of
God. What does that involve? In this passage five things are said
clearly about life in the Spirit as the adopted children of God. These
five things make clear what is often handled totally subjectively among
Christians...

From Ruin to Rescue: Christianity's Answer to Everything | Renovation: God's Rebuilding Work of Grace, Part 5 Our Life in the Spirit (Rom 8:1-11) |
Pastor Gary Pauley. What does it mean to "have" the Spirit of God?
There is a lot of bizarre teaching out there on the subject. But Romans
sets the record straight.

From Ruin to Rescue - Part 3
Sunday, 13 July 2008
From Ruin to Rescue: Christianity's Answer to Everything | Renovation: God's Rebuilding Work of Grace, Part 3 Our Freedom from the Law (Rom 7:1-11) |
Pastor Gary Pauley. Contemporary thinking about faith makes a
distinction between religion and "spirituality." Religion seems to be
thought of as an organized system of practices or beliefs, while the
more popular notion of "spirituality" refers to some sort of
recognition of a spiritual reality or a god without the messy need to
conform to any compliances or practices. In chapter seven, Paul gives
four reasons why just complying to the Law is a poor basis for true
religion.
From Ruin to Rescue - Part 2
Sunday, 06 July 2008
From Ruin to Rescue: Christianity's Answer to Everything | Renovation: God's Rebuilding Work of Grace, Part 2 Our Slavery to God (Rom 6:15-23) |
Pastor Gary Pauley. Our Slavery to God (Rom 6:15-23). But isn't slavery
a bad thing? Paul argues that everyone is a slave in the sense that
everyone is controlled by some person, idea, or belief. Before becoming
a Christian... that controlling reality is sin. But a believer in
Christ is changed. Paul describes the new "slavery" to God.

From Ruin to Rescue: Christianity's Answer to Everything | Renovation: God's Rebuilding Work of Grace. Part 1 Our Identity in Christ (Rom 6:1-14) |
Pastor Gary Pauley. In Romans Paul paints an ugly picture of humanity.
Damaged by sin. we are separated from God - unable to commune with Him.
But there is more... it is not just about condemnation, but also
renovation as God rebuilds by His grace and overcomes the tragic
effects of sin in us. It all begins with our identity in Christ in
Romans 6:1-14...
Home Designs - Challenges to the Christian Home
Sunday, 22 June 2008
Home Designs | Challenges to the Christian Home (Heb 11:9-18) |
Across our country the very definition of marriage is being
pressured by individual desires given preference over traditional values.
Same-sex marriages and polygamous relationships have gained national attention.
Some would have us think that both types of relationships form legitimate
families. Does the Bible give us any perspective on these challenges? Actually,
these challenges are not new, and if we look back at the life of one of the
oldest of Bible examples, we can gain perspective.
Home Designs - Blueprint for the Christian Home
Sunday, 15 June 2008
Home Designs | Blueprint for the Christian Home (Eph. 5:22 - 6:4) |
Pastor
Martin Burch. Home makeover television shows have recently become big
entertainment in our culture. And for good reason. The house we choose
to live in is a big investment of time, resources, and family
commitment. But it takes much more than a house to have a true home.
For the next two weeks we are going to be looking at what the Bible has
to say about God’s design for the Christian home. God has brilliantly
designed family relationships to be a place that creates everything
good that He wants us to experience about Him.
From Ruin to Rescue - Imputation

From Ruin to Rescue - Reconciliation

From Ruin to Rescue: Christianity's Answer to Everything | The Benefits of Justification: RECONCILIATION - he draws us near (Rom 5:6-11) |
Pastor Gary Pauley. Part two of the Benefits of Justification found in Romans chapter five.
From Ruin to Rescue - Edification
Sunday, 25 May 2008
From Ruin to Rescue: Christianity's Answer to Everything | The Benefits of Justification: EDIFICATION - he builds us up (Rom 5:1-5) |
Pastor Gary Pauley. In chapter five of Romans, Paul details the benefits of those who have been justified by grace. Justification
is a court room term. In New Testament writing it refers to the sinner
being pardoned from the punishment of his sin and reconciled to God.
This is done by God's grace -- not by the performance of the one
forgiven. This message looks at the first of the benefits of
justification. God builds us up through the experiences of peace,
access to Him, and joy.
From Ruin to Rescue - The Law Couldn't Provide It
Sunday, 18 May 2008
Sunday, May 18th, 2008 From Ruin to Rescue: Christianity's Answer to Everything | The Law Couldn't Provide It (Rom 4:9-25) |
Pastor Gary Pauley. How to know God...It's the big goal of religious
thought. For the Jews in Paul's day it came by obedience to the Old
Testament Law. For many today, it is thought to come with various
religious checklists...and there is a different list for every
religion! But that idea is wrong...the Old Testament never taught that
in the first place. The very beginning story of the Jews, the story of
Abraham, is a story of faith and not Law...
