The Growing Disciple | Stages of Growth (Matthew 10) |

Pastor Gary Pauley. You don't suddenly become a disciple whenever you hit a certain level of spiritual growth. After Jesus returned to the Father, the word disciple became synonmous among Christians with the word believer. Every believer is a disciple. It is not a special program for only high-capacity believers. We are all on a path as disciples... though all at different stages of development. Unfortunately, we don't always think strategically about our growth. That is where a good local church comes in! At Mill Creek we take it as our job to help every believer think carefully and deliberately about growing as a disciple... as a follower of Jesus.

The Growing Disciple | A plan for growth at Mill Creek |

Pastor Gary Pauley. We have been a church that has been all about discipleship from our very beginning. But what does that practically mean? Is discipleship just a Sunday morning worship service opportunity? What about with a group of friends? Could it happen over donuts and coffee? Find out, as Pastor Gary Pauley looks at what Jesus says about discipleship, and then explains how we are doing something about it here at Mill Creek.

Romans: Ruin & Rescue | Paul's Example: His Relationships (Romans 16) |

Pastor Gary Pauley. This final message in a series on the book of Romans examines how Paul viewed the relationships he had with people. Romans may have us thinking solely of Paul the theologian, but his Christian life was not matter-of-fact statements. He had vibrant relationships with other beleivers. He was all about the people who make up the church. Romans 16 is a list that he left for us of those people. Wouldn't it be great if you had a list like this?

Romans: Ruin & Rescue | Spiritual Gifts (Romans 12:3-8)

Romans: Ruin & Rescue | Spiritual Gifts (Romans 12:3-8) |

Pastor Martin Burch. God's design for the church means something very practical and very personal. In Romans 12, Paul continues to show us the personal application of eleven chapters of vital truth about the gospel. It means we are simply saved to serve. No one gets an exemption. We are each uniquely designed for God to serve His purposes in the plan for the church to minister the gospel in our generation. There are no sideline saints...

Romans: Ruin & Rescue | An Example in the Community (Romans 13) |

Pastor Gary Pauley. With the recent change of administrations in America, much has been said by Christians that has frankly been unbiblical. In Romans 13, Paul addresses the important issue of civil responsibility and the Christian. These thoughts will help us understand the proper relationship between Christians and government and the importance of being godly neighbors in our communities.

Romans: Ruin & Rescue | Authentic Christianity (Romans 12:9-21)

Sunday, 08 February 2009

Romans: Ruin & Rescue | Authentic Christianity (Romans 12:9-21) |

Pastor Martin Burch. Romans 12 provides a framework for service within the church. We have seen that we must serve as living sacrifices (vs. 1-2). Last week we looked at what it means to serve with the unique spiritual gifts that God gives to us. This message will help us to examine what it means that we are commanded to serve in genuine love in the context of real relationships within the church...
