MCCC has an exciting children’s ministry! All of the core values of our church are incorporated into our children’s program.

1. The teaching of the Word of God is central. The curriculum, from the Walkers class through 6th grade is designed to help the children learn and apply the Word of God in their daily lives.

2. At Mill Creek we don’t believe that children have to wait until they are “grown up” to be what God wants them to be. Our program is designed to help the children come to a saving knowledge of Christ and then become active disciples. Opportunities are provided for them to learn to serve and use their spiritual gifts, as they grow in their knowledge of Christ.

3. Meaningful worship is a part of spiritual growth. We have a lively worship time for the children during our large group Extended Bible Times on Sunday mornings.  Our mid-week program also begins with an enthusiastic worship time each week.  Songs are sung with our infants in the Nursery and with our Walkers.  Music is a vital part of our program in the Preschool Department as well. 

4. Recognizing the changing aspects of life for today’s children, we are “committed to healthy change that enhances growth without compromising our beliefs”.  Our message will never change, but we seek to keep the activities and methods of our children’s program current to meet their needs and draw their attention to God and His purpose for their lives.

5. Our Children’s Ministry leadership and teaching staff are committed to the Lord and His purposes in the spiritual development of our children. We have an on going program of teacher training and enrichment to keep our staff enthused and informed as they minister to the children each week.

6. MCCC is committed to supporting the children’s ministry and its future development. A substantial portion of the church budget is allocated to this ministry to insure that the Team will have sufficient materials to conduct our children’s ministry with excellence.
