The Scriptural Purpose of Our Church's Involvement in Missions
Mill Creek Community Church's missions committee looks to scripture to direct all missions activity. The Biblical mandate for missions includes going to all nations and preaching Christ's ministry of reconciliation for the purpose of making reproducing disciples who will worship and glorify God (Mt. 28:19-20, 2 Cor. 5:18-20, Acts 1:8, Ps. 67, Ps. 96).
Our Definition of Missions
"Missions is a worldwide enterprise of evangelizing, discipling, planting churches, and aiding in growth and development that falls outside the normal outreach responsibilities of the local church. A missionary is one who carries out the above activities in a vocational capacity."
Values for consideration in selecting missions projects and candidates for support
